Fall Family Session at Cedarvale Ravine

This sweet family came to me through a gift certificate given to them by one of their friends.
When I got the e-mail asking if I could do that I thought it was such a thoughtful gift! This is something that will last – they will be able to revisit these photos when their little boy isn’t quite so little anymore.

I didn’t realize they were also Greek, and they talked to their son in Greek as well. It was sort of neat to be walking around doing a session and talking in another language. Exercise for the mind!

We had a great time exploring one of my favourite places in the city, Cedarvale Ravine.

September and October are great months because it’s still warm enough that your kiddos won’t get too chilly and uncomfortable, which helps tonnes! (It also gives you enough time to order, address and send out your holiday cards.)

Toronto Family Photography – Laura, Zach + Madison

This little lady!
With bright, excited eyes and one of the biggest smiles you’ve ever seen, she will instantly win your heart.
She is teeming with energy, and it comes out and little wiggles and happy squeals. She is quite a character already.
It was so great to meet Madison.
It is especially heartwarming for me to photograph this beautiful child because she is the daughter of two incredibly wonderful people, Laura and Zach, whose engagement session, wedding, and maternity session I had the complete honour of photographing.
It’s hard for me to put into words the feeling of warmth I’m filled with when I think about this family. I love spending time with them, and I am so humbled that they continue to invite me to document their life’s joyous moments.
Aaaah, I just got another wave of happy.
I love you guys.
I hope these photos bring you and Madison lots more smiles through the years. <3

Toronto Family Photography – The Avis Family

I recently reconnected with my grade 7 Science teacher, and she’s been such a sweet and enthusiastic fan of my work.

This family came to me as a gift from her – Michael, the father, was actually also a student of hers!
How nice is it that she’s staying in touch and showing such support for her former students?

Around about age 2, it seems kiddos LOVE the fact that they can run. Which means they don’t want to sit still for photos! I can’t blame them – Running and exploring is waaay more fun. So, I move around with them, and inevitably when they smile or make an awesome face at something cool they found, I’m ready to snap away.
This was one of those sessions – Maxwell was a ball of energy! But it was so much fun moving around like a kid and getting a little glimpse of what the world is currently like for him. And though baby Georgia couldn’t yet sit up, we got in some awesome tummy time photos.

I love the idea of taking some photographs to remember these fleeting moments in time – before you know it, these kids will be all grown up – maybe making connections with their own former teachers as they embark on their own life journeys – and the time they were so little will be a distant memory. But, they’ll have these lovely photos to smile from 🙂

Toronto Family Photographer – Cedarvale Ravine

As a Toronto family photographer I get to meet and spend time with some really special people who fill my heart right up.

The amount of love that radiates from parents for their children is unparalleled – it makes me well up just thinking about it – it’s just so beautiful.
And the care-free, unabashed playfulness and massive smiles from the kids is somethin’ else.
Though I primarily photograph weddings, a big part of why I do what I do is to document the joy and love in life – so naturally families have to be a part of that!

I was so excited when Allyson and Stacey contacted me for Quinn’s second birthday shoot. I had a wonderful time photographing her first birthday session last year, and it was so neat to see how her personality has developed and how much she’s grown!

Toronto Maternity Photographer – Old Mill

Aaah, nothing quite like knowing there’s a little bebe inside another human being. It’s really awe-inspiring.

I was so honoured when Maura, a former classmate of mine, reached out to ask me to help commemorate and preserve this incredibly precious moment in her and her hubby Matt’s lives.

We went to Old Mill for this maternity session, and though the clouds kept rolling in and interrupting the light, we were able to snap some quite beautiful shots. I’m really excited to share these.

Toronto Pet Photography – Eini, Celso & Hunter

It was so wonderful spending time with Eini and Celso again – I had the pleasure of photographing their beautifully full love for their wedding at Toronto’s Fantasy Farm back on the first day of Spring.

They got in touch to do this session with their fur baby Hunter when the weather warmed back up again, and I was of course so excited!
I was looking forward to seeing them again, and it was a super big bonus that I’d get to meet their pup – I absolutely adore animals 🙂

As before, their smiles were totally contagious – they have a really lovely connection that’s really awesome to see. And their absolutely *adorable* pup Hunter was all smiles too! (Well, at least it looked like it – do dogs smile? I’m convinced that they do. Just look at that face!)

Let me tell you, this dog is priceless. He is energetic and inquisitive, yet unbelievably patient. He would stay in a spot for as long as Eini and Celso told him to so we could grab a photo of him solo – SO patient and well-behaved. And it was the best to see how happy he was to receive a treat from me after a job well done.

Eini pointed out that when I went towards him his li’l tail started to wag – my heart melted.

As always, it was so fun seeing you guys again! Thank you introducing me to your li’l guy, and for such a great time!

Maternity Photos Toronto – Laura & Zach
I love photographing Laura and Zach.
Actually, let me correct that by saying I overall just love spending time with them.
They’re so easy-going, down to earth, fun, and so, so kind.
I photographed their engagement session and wedding, and I was beyond excited when Laura messaged me saying they’re expecting a little one!
I was of course honoured and *so* looking forward to documenting this new milestone for them.
Here, Laura is 6 weeks away from her due date – then they’ll embark on yet another new journey together, as parents. Life is pretty special like that.
Guys, I had so much fun with you while we walked around and had this totally chill maternity session.
Thank you so much for including me in this amazing stage of your life. And I’m so excited for the next one coming super soon!

Isabella’s Toronto Cake Smash!

Ah, little Isabella.
I have to say, her personality didn’t seem so little – She’s definitely got a presence and a total ‘I’m a boss’-ness about her. She knows she commands the room, and it’s gosh-darned hilarious to watch.
As she smushed her foot right into the cake, grabbed a chunk of that gorgeous pink ombre deliciousness and playfully tasted some, she did a little wiggle with glee. We laughed and laughed each time she did that wiggle, which I’m pretty sure she kept doing because of the reaction. Smart cookie, miss.

I originally met this sweetie pie at Denise and Mark’s wedding – she was a cutie patootie flower girl who unfortunately was so sick and wasn’t much in the mood for photos. So Denise wanted to do this first birthday session for her to get more photos of her in this stage of her life – and I was so excited to shoot it!

I brought the backdrops and photo gear while Denise and Diana (Isabella’s mom) gathered up some fantastic props, including some spectacular home-made ones! Can you believe Denise crocheted that bear and number 1?? And that they both cut, painted and sewed that banner?? You ladies are inspirational – such talent! I might have to send future clients to you for custom orders! (If you’re reading this and you’re interested, yes, Denise is taking orders!)

Anyhow, enough of my blabbering – Enjoy the cuteness! (And the comical mess that ensued!)

Baby Jacob’s First Photo Session

This li’l guy is just over a month old, but he’s so expressive you’d think he was already 2 years old! Check out the photos for yourself – He’s so expressive and has such personality.

He was so relaxed and followed my camera with his eyes almost the entire session. What a curious cutie.

Christa & Jorden’s Fall Family Session

I was so excited for this photo session!
Christa and Jorden were one of my first wedding couples back in the day (they’re the couple surrounded by greenery in the Facebook page cover photo!), and now they’ve got a 3 month old daughter! Amazing how time flies!

It was so wonderful to see them again and to spend time with their incredibly patient and good-spirited baby. Despite it being cold, rainy, and SO windy, Zoe was a champ. I mean it – At one point she had wind blowing so strong it was going up her and Christa’s noses, and she barely budged.
No tears from this happy-go-lucky baby at all, despite the crazy weather.
What a trooper!

It was wonderful to see Donna (Christa’s mom) again as well. Oh, how she dotes on her grand daughter. She emanates pure JOY being with her. So beautiful to behold.

Despite the crazy weather we managed to have a great time and take some lovely photographs. Thanks for a lovely time, you guys!
